My Story

Hi! I’m Tessa — I’m 23 and the human behind Good Compawny. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with the sweetest goldendoodle named Cutie (the name says it all), and a spirited little maltipoo named Mali — which means “little boy” in Bosnian, a nod to my roots. He passed recently, but his memory reminds me every day how deeply pets shape our lives. If I see a dog in public, you can bet I’m holding back happy tears and telling my boyfriend, “Did you see how cute that one was?” — and yes, we’ll talk about it for hours. I’m gentle, careful, and endlessly patient, which comes from years of working in a hospital with people. I was on track to become a physical therapist, but I realized what truly fills me up is the quiet, unconditional love animals give so effortlessly. Their empathy, loyalty, and little quirks inspire me daily — and I like to think I’m a lot like them: warm-hearted, dependable, and always ready for a good walk.
